Pelletier Label — Independent Design Practice 2017 — 2020

My journey began with a love for the art of fit. Before digital tools and simulations, I spent these years mastering the female figure and the intimacy of working with fabric by hand. Designing with intention and intimacy. Every piece an act of care.

The philosophy
Fit is confidence. A well-made piece, cut with intention and worn close to the skin, changes how a woman carries herself. That was always the goal. Not to dress the body, but to make the wearer feel at home in it.

Comfort was never an afterthought. It lived in the breathability of the fabric, the ease of the silhouette, the way a piece moved with the body rather than against it. When something feels right, you stop thinking about what you are wearing.

Velvet Series

The work
A small, intentional label, fully realized from the inside out. Every piece built from concept to finished garment by one pair of hands. Draping, pattern drafting, sewing, fitting, and grading done in-house from scratch.

Every fabric sourced and selected with intention. Some found locally in Toronto, some discovered by chance, always chosen for how they felt against skin before anything else.

Pelletier Label ran from 2017 to 2020. Small by design, intentional by practice.

What it built lives beyond it. The pattern instinct, the eye for fit, the understanding that good design begins with the person wearing it. Intentional design and the technicality of the silhouette. These values became the foundation of my work today and continue to anchor my approach to every project that followed.
